As a local resident with my wonderful wife Catherine and my two young daughters Heaven and Arya, I am incredibly honoured and grateful for the opportunity to represent my local community as part of the Cook Labor Government.

I entered Parliament having previously been a proud teacher at Southern River College and a former Councillor at the City of Gosnells. As a former teacher, I am passionate about education and being part of a government that delivers a top quality education for the State’s students as it has the power to provide every child, regardless of their background, with the opportunity to succeed in life.

We are delivering on a number of exciting commitments in this space, including my promise to build two new primary schools in Southern River, having recently opened Southern Grove Primary School in 2019 and Yarralinka Primary School in 2021. We are also delivering upgrades to facilities at our local high schools and have placed additional education assistants back into WA classrooms.

I am excited about the building of the METRONET Thornlie-Cockburn Link, which includes two train stations in Canning Vale at Nicholson Road and Ranford Road, and works commenced in 2019. Delivering METRONET will bring our local area the congestion-busting infrastructure it deserves.

I am delivering on a number of other commitments for our local community. You can keep up to date on my progress by following my Facebook page – www.facebook.com/TerryHealyMLA.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if I can ever be of any assistance.
